If you still have a problem perform a Full Reset of the symbol settings:

The only other remaining possibility would be some kind of symbol conflict. Make sure all use of the Intel symbol among the charts and quote boards is a consistent format (INTC-STK-SMART/NASDAQ).

Actually this is really most likely the problem and this is why, your frustration must be squarely placed with the lunacy of Interactive Brokers symbol formats. It is not us creating all of this confusion and trouble. You need to accept these kinds of problems when using Interactive Brokers.
