Post From: how to remove the cursor highlight box in trade dom

Thanks for your response.

I tried changing the color but the problem is the recent buy/sell volume columns which I place (as is the norm) between the buy/sell columns as this is where the crux of using a trade dom is focused. Where price and volume meet to determine the direction of the market.

When I change the color a completely different color outlines the recent bid/ask numbers. Those quickly changing volumes are tightly bracketed by the horizontal lines of the highlight box which are a darker color than the highlight box color setting. I have found no way to adjust these colors.

I will have to believe you when you say there is no way to accomplish making the highlight box go away as I am not a programmer.

As an alternative would it be possible to alter the highlight box so it corresponds to the height/width of the cells formed by the columns and rows as opposed to the size of the font? It is the tight bracketing of the numbers which creates a large amount of the distraction.

Or, ideally, to change the highlight box to a user controlled background highlight color that corresponds to the height/width of the cells formed by the columns/rows.

I think Sierra Chart is a lean and fast platform, but when using the Trade DOM along with all the other great tools you provide it all comes down to the last visual perception on the screen to the eye to the brain to the mouse click.

Anything that interferes with this sequence of events is a distraction (lost money).

With respect, I believe the implementation of any of the above requests will only make Sierra Chart a visually better user experience.
