Because usually it is just recommended to once subscribe to reqPositions and then you will keep receiving position updates when the positions change"
Yes, for a TWS username which has a just a single account, this is how Sierra Chart does it.

SC never actually specifically requests your positions, so there were no callbacks to positions because of that (meaning we didn't send you any positions information at all).
This is not true. You can see the request here:

Interactive Brokers | Requesting Trade Positions snapshot and updates (IB account data updates) for account: U227* | 2018-01-16 14:50:38

And this is not some request, which is actually not being sent. It is the actual request sent out over the network socket to TWS, otherwise there would be all kinds of subsequent problems with all following requests. If they want to believe that the request was not made, this demonstrates total and complete incompetency on the part of Interactive Brokers.

Show them what we say here.

This is why we will longer communicate with Interactive Brokers on the subject.

When we have an exceptional level of knowledge, intelligence and competency and we are dealing with Interactive Brokers incompetency, it is a ridiculous situation which goes nowhere which has been demonstrated time and time again.
