Hello, I am in the process of evaluating Sierra Chart for my trading purposes and have the level 3 license. I'm trying to test a simple ACSIL trade-system strategy using the replay chart feature. I have set my data download preferences to download >186 days of intra-day data at minute resolution and for certain securities the download works. I'm assuming that when the download does not work, that is merely an indication of a data-restriction on my account. Not problem there. Though I'd also like to talk to sales about how I can possibly lift those restrictions. I digress... The issue I have relates specifically to when the download succeeds. When I go to replay the chart, it begins the replay on July 31st 2017 regardless of when I set the start date, and regardless of how much data I have downloaded into the chart (this was on august 28th). Is this a backtesting restriction or a configuration issue? I need more than 30 days of backtesting for this software to be a viable platform for me. Ideally, I'd like to be able to select two dates (date 1 and date 2) from more or less any time within the past 10-12 years, and replay the chart between them. I have extensivly looked in numerous places to try and see if anyone else was having the same issue without success. Thanks |
