SC: About two weeks ago, I sent you a support request due to getting Sierra disconnects using a rithmic feed. The Sierra message log would tell me that the heartbeat had been quiet for more than 40.900 or so seconds. I am using a 50 meg cable connection via Comcast's router. I have two separate occasions of sierra running. One on one puter and one on another. Each occasion being fed with rithmic. All other software on each puter was operating correctly. I would not get but 1 or 2 disconnects each day but that is way too much for my simple mind and the distractions that it was causing to my trading. I didn't pull any data from the Rithmic platform itself to start with. I only had the working order screen up. However, to fix the disconnects in Sierra, I had to add just one symbol to my Rithmic quote board that was being charted on Sierra from each computer. I just picked the NG natural gas future from one and the ZS soybeans from another. As soon, as I did this change, my disconnects stopped. All is ok now. It has been three days and not a single disconnect. I hope this will help someone else also, so I took the time to write this. Who do I bill for my software testing services? :-) I think Sierra Charts with a Rithmic feed is the best.
