From your reply, it seems there is no configuration or setting that could explain this behavior. It is certainly possible that I have done something akin to what you suggest as a possible cause. I will make sure to scroll to the end of the chart, minimize it, make sure I put focus on a different screen altogether and come back to that chart [which is a range chart in case that makes any difference] in an hour and see what its behavior has been.
