So far one computer stopped working three times. I had to manually shut it down since even Task Manager would not display properly for me to ‘End Task,’ although one time I did get Task Manager to work but that time I shut down IB TWS first even though IB said when I checked the data button on its screen that it was connected.
This sounds like an issue with your system. Sounds like there is high CPU usage. Even if Sierra Chart were using a lot of CPU usage for an unknown reason, it would not cause the whole system to be slow.

It said I should use two different port numbers for running two instances on two computers. I thought that meant two separate instances on one computer and two other separate instances on another computer.
That documentation refers to running more than one instance of TWS on the same computer. Not different computers. You do not need to use different port numbers for running TWS on different computers.

I didn’t think I would need real time data from IB to place trades through Sierra, is that correct?
We do not think so.

Is there is a place that has archive logs so I could see what was written before the system froze up?
You could enable Global Settings >> General Settings >> Save Message Log to File. The files will be in the Logs subfolder.

“Message from IB: Market data farm connection is inactive but should be available upon demand.usfarm.us. IB Error Code: 2108. Request ID: -1. | 2017-07-13 01:39:57”
This is a normal message. This is completely unrelated to any freezing problems you are having.

If your entire system is freezing, that is a system issue. That would not be caused by either TWS or Sierra Chart. Neither of them have any ability to cause a systemwide problem. We recommend uninstalling any third-party security or firewall software you are running. And make sure your video driver is up to date.
