I have tried it just now again but If one is connected the other will not connect. This is due to a limitation with the particular Trading service you are connecting to which is Gain Capital. Sierra Chart itself has no restrictions in this regard. You will need to contact them and have them set you up with a completely separate Gain Capital username.
