Post From: Understanding Spreadsheets Behavior - Saving and Applying to New Chart

Thank you for creating these instructions. While these instructions do create a new sheet with some of the original sheet’s content, they don’t seem to duplicate the entire sheet. My goal is to create my own portable version of the Spreadsheet System for Trading that can be applied like any other Sierra Chart study on any single chart.

My entry formulas reference cells in a trading control input section I’ve created in column BA and beyond of Sheet5 as mentioned was possible in Support Forum posts. I’ve done this so I can tell what my significant inputs and outputs are at a glance and change inputs easily, rather than scrolling through the 90+ rows of column J. After following the instructions, calculations referenced in In Sheet4 the formulas in columns BA and beyond point to empty cells within that sheet – the input cells in Sheet5 are not referenced nor or they copied over.

It also appears that entries I’ve made in the read/write cells of column J are not copied over. For instance I’ve set cell J78 (Cancel All Orders except working Attached Orders (read/write)) to NOT(K3) for a buy entry. In Sheet5 this is still referencing buy triggers on that sheet, not on Sheet4. In Sheet4 the field is empty.

Questions:

1.  Can all cells be manually copied from Sheet5 to Sheet4 without causing problems with columns A through J? I’ve been hesitant to touch the Read Only cells in these columns because I do not want to break the underlying mechanism of the spreadsheet/chart integration that isn’t visible to the end user.

2.  If I am able to copy an entire spreadsheet including columns A-J, am I right in the assumption that the pasted cells reference only the sheet they’ve been copied into, or do some continue to reference the source sheet (and associated chart) as they would in Excel?

3.  If copying and pasting an entire sheet is not possible, is there any other way to simply duplicate the entirety of Sheet5 to another sheet without breaking it? I understand I can easily copy my input section in column BA and beyond, but I’ve also modified various read/write fields in column J and from what I can tell, those would have to be individually copied and pasted from the original sheet or manually reentered.

Thanks.
