We only have harsh words for Microsoft. We deleted a previous comment about them. Anyway, today someone sent us an RTF file (rich text) and we opened it in the latest word 2016. Word came back and said that it could not read the file and it was corrupt or something and gave us a page full of solutions most of which were simply inconsistent with the current user interface and not usable. We opened the file without any trouble with Libre Office Writer and also Windows WordPad. Once again, this is total complete proof, that Microsoft has gone totally mad and is frustrating the world with their bullshit garbage because of their inability open a simple file in the rich text format which is their own format: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Text_Format We have also had endless trouble with Microsoft backup utilities we have tried recently but that generally is pretty well-known we would think and we normally do not use these.
