What users pay for Sierra Chart compared to the cost of support is tiny. As a practical matter the discount we provide is a very insignificant. Like USD10 a month. This can hardly be called a "consequence" and as we said we are going to be removing the long-term user discount and replacing it with another type of discount that you would still be entitled to. So in effect, removing the discount is almost next to meaningless as a practical matter.

We have provided you a lot of support in the past, and we can see there is now once again an increased burden on us, and we do not want to just simply ignore you. We can help you within reason but we cannot afford to do that with any discounts.

We expect the change to come about in the next couple of weeks. It will be the same type of discount as previously based upon the number of months purchased at once. Or we may just lower Sierra Chart's price to a lower price per month with no discounts at all.

We also have to take into consideration that some users are very costly to us and those users are going to have to pay extra.

On this board, our cost is at least 100 USD per hour and when the time that this takes away from our other development, the cost can theoretically be multiple times higher.

And there was even more time we spent on your account when we were discussing you with the programmer we referred you to. And that programmer took the time to review your questions and then you said you figured it out in your own. Nevertheless, there is all of this time that has been spent on your account. Think about the dirt cheap prices you are paying for Sierra Chart . This simply does not come close to covering this.

And none of this has anything to do with general improvements to Sierra Chart. It is all user specific stuff. This is why our policy is we simply do not provide programming help or formula programming help.
