There was a change that we made, to the Ntfy app server to solve this by using a Google service in the background that sends notifications to the iPhone. Should not be anything more that we would need to do from our side. Sorry but i ve never seen any "reconnecting" and there is no option to pick the connection protocol in the settings of the ntfy app. It sounds like the app has issues or is just not good fit which makes it essentially useless if it cannot do the push notifications on iphones. You are an advanced charting and trading platform and I m expecting you guys will try to address this ASAP because remote alerting is essential for many traders who just don’t spend all their time in front of the screens. The emails and Telegram used to work fine in the past and ntfy is a downgrade to the service right now…

Remote alerting is now supported. The issue is specific to your particular case. We will have a look again at your case. Does anyone else using an iPhone experience a problem? Telegram is unreliable. It was simply unreliable. It completely deteriorated to an unusable state where many messages were not being delivered and they were substantially delayed. This is absolute 100% fact. We had no choice but to remove it. And emails are also very unreliable and problematic for so many reasons. The use of email is totally unreliable. It is so common that users would not get email messages, there would be delivery delays, and it was a common problem where our mail server would get banned by other mail servers. There was no choice but to remove email alerts to users. Thats how mine looks like. I m on the latest 18.4 firmware. I dont have the "immediate" notifications option like shown on yours.

I have the same issue on iPhone. Have to restart or refresh to see the notifications in the app. Also "send test notification" don't work at all. Tried reinstalling everything, latest version of Sierra and app, notifications allowed.

I can confirm that notification are working properly on iOS 18.4. With an iphone running stock iOS 18.4 We do see the option for "Immediate Deliver", as per the screenshot. A quick google shows the following: If the "Immediate Delivery" option isn't showing for notifications on your iPhone, it's likely because you've enabled a Focus mode or have specific app settings that are overriding the default notification delivery behavior. Under "Settings >> Notifications" Do you have notification summary enabled? If enabled is ntfy included in the summary? Try to disable notification summary if they are enabled, or excluding ntfy from the summary. Sorry, "scheduled summary" under the notification settings was already disabled. I figured that when you turn that on, then you get the option for immediate delivery on the individual apps available to use, but unfortunately that still doesn’t change anything for me. I have attached a screenshot with how the notification settings for ntfy look like right now

I have followed all the instructions and am not getting any notifications on my iphone 15 pro on iOS 18.3.2 I have not updated my iOS but not sure why that should be required I get notifications on my windows machine using the ntfy web application. I can see the notifications in the iOS app but only when I manually refresh. My default focus mode is on and don't override any settings. I don't have any issues with notifications from any other app. My notification settings are set properly And fwiw, telegram was working fine for me before, this is currently a step back in that it doesn't work on my phone. If you are getting the notifications into the nfty app on your phone, then the fact that you are not getting notifications themselves on the phone is not something we can help with. How is your phone connecting to the internet? Is it a stable connection? Is your phone running in batter savings mode? Have your tied shutting down all the applications except for ntfy on the phone and sending a test notification? Sierra Chart Support |

I think it's clear people are having issues with NFTY and iPhone. So it's not a good solution for us. As I said, technically it is possible for me to see the alerts in the app. but as others have experienced, i need to manually refresh the specific topic, and only then, does it appear in the alert list. But I never see a "notification" banner appear. So it is not working in any meaningful way. My phone is on stable wifi. Not on battery mode. No issues with other apps and their notifications. It is simply not working |
