Hi twofox,
Is the source code available for the TWFX Candlestick Overlay study?

Thank you!

Hi John/Sierra,
I note from your post above that you have changed the Numbers the "Spacing Adjustment Value" to allow values between 0 and 128.

Can you explain why the center of a Numbers Bar bar shifts to the left if the Spacing Adjustment Value is set to anything but 0 for example? Can the study be updated to remain centered if the Spacing Adjustment Value is greater than 0?

Thank you
Are you able to share the ACSIL code you used to align the candle bodies to the center of the numbers bars? Are you using GDT_CANDLESTICK for the candle bodies?
We can not share the code.

When you are using a Study/Price Overlay, the system is drawing the candlesticks separate from the Numbers Bars per the Study/Price Overlay study. It uses whatever style is set in the Subgraphs tab for the study. Refer to the following:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Graph Draw Type

Can you explain why the center of a Numbers Bar bar shifts to the left if the Spacing Adjustment Value is set to anything but 0 for example? Can the study be updated to remain centered if the Spacing Adjustment Value is greater than 0?

The "Spacing Adjustment Value" was added to the Numbers Bars study to allow customers to add spacing between the columns. As such, when it is used, it will center the Numbers Bars differently than the standard. If you use a "Study/Price Overlay", then it does not know anything about this, as that adjustment value is just for the Numbers Bars. If you want to be able to make adjustments to the "Spacing Adjustment Value" and have the candle display adjust, you would need to use the display options built into the Numbers Bars study.

Hi John,
Thanks for confirming and clarifying.

I've tried both using the Study/Price Overlay and developing a custom study using GDT_CANDLESTICK.

The issue I have come across is that GDT_CANDLESTICK draws the body from the tick price level, not the entire price level when applied to a Numbers Bars chart. Attached is an annotated screenshot.

If this is the only way to display a candlestick on a Numbers Bars chart, i.e., via overlay, what options are there to have the candlestick body take up the entire price level as this is important when the Open-Close range is 1-2 ticks?

Thank you!

That is how the price bars are drawn outside of the Numbers Bars options themselves.
