Hello, I have meticulously followed the instructions here (Custom Calculated Symbols: Instructions) to trial and error on creating a spread chart for ESM25 - ESU25, however, my result is confusing at best. Firstly, Attempt 1, using the suggested formula in the instruction document (in my case, 1*{ESM25}-1*ESU25}) gave me the following error message (screenshot Error 1) with an empty chart window. Understanding the error, I thought to add the exchange symbol (Attempt 2), -CME, at the end of the symbol code, making it 1*{ESM25-CME}-1*{ESU25-CME}), but this does not return a complete chart (See Chart 1). Settings for "download historical data" in the symbol setting are set to yes. My most successful attempt (3), all settings remained the same,is to remove the (1) at the front of the symbol, making it {ESM25-CME}-{ESU25-CME} (See Chart 2). Attempt 1 gave me no charts but no FSE error, Attempt 2 gave me a tiny chart with FSE error, while Attempt 3 gave me the most complete chart without an FSE error. However, as I tried to import my chart from Attempt 3 into my chartbook by duplicating my existing chart in my chartbook (to retain all settings), and just changing the chart symbol to {ESM25-CME}-{ESU25-CME}, I get an FSE error, although the chart loads. I hope you can help me because this is my first attempt to create a custom calculated chart, and I was hoping to create something more complicated, eg, butterflies or condors. Thank you so much. |

When I was testing this out, it was set to "SC Data".

The symbols you use need to match the service that is selected. Therefore, if you were using "SC Data" for your Current Selected Service, then the symbols would need to be like "ESM25-CME". This is why the other options you tried did not work at all. We are not following the issue with duplicating the chart. If you are having an issue with a setup that has the correct symbols, then please let us know exactly what the issue is.
