Hi there. When I take a trade on my account (Sim 1), by clicking on buy /sell market, P/L and NPL stays at zero in the trade window. The trade lines come up ok on the chart, and also show on my DOM. Going to trade - Trade orders, shows order filled, and attached orders open. If I click on flatten, the trade lines disappear from the chart, the trade service log appears, saying Unable to flatten/ Reverse, Position does not exist. What am I doing wrong? Regards |

Our first guess is that you are not opening a position. When you place the order, it is not a Market order, but is a limit or Stop-Limit of some kind, therefore there is no open position at that point. And when you Flatten/Cancel you are doing this before the parent order fills, so you were never in an open position to flatten. But you are seeing attached orders showing and those are removed with the Flatten and Cancel command. Check the Order Type you are entering on the Trade Window and make sure it is for the type you want and at the price point you want. Another possibility is that you may be looking at a different Trade Window that has a different trading account selected. In other words, you are actually trading Sim2 (for example) and not Sim1, but the Trade Window you are viewing is for Sim1. I have market order selected, Sim 1 account is in the drop down in the trade window, Trade service log does say Trade Account Sim 1 where it says unable to flatten. I don't think I have a sim 2 account. However, I updated the instance to latest edition, and things are working now as they should. Thanks John Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-04-21 19:45:51
