Overlaying MTF study onto a Tick chart

Are there incompatibilities when applying a study from a certain timeframe (10 min, etc) to an order-based tick chart? In my case, I tried applying a moving average on a 10 min chart directly onto a tick chart of the same symbol and it seemed to mess up the chart. Do I need to do something differently? |
