I just noticed the "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package" but already bought a lower package and am only a week in. If I start the evaluation now am I going to give up the rest of the 3 weeks I already paid for?

You have us a bit confused as we see that your account is on Package 10 at the moment. The only thing we can tell you is that you will not lose anything. When you change packages, your Usage Time is adjusted based on the difference in the package pricing. So if you go to a higher priced package, your Usage Time will shorten and vice versa. If you want us to change your package to Package 3 and set the Evaluate Package 12 for 60 days for your account, then let us know and we can take care of this for you. Yes, I'd like to start the Package 12 evaluation but wasn't sure if I'd lose the rest of the time I paid for package 10 if I started it right now.

Do you want us to put you back on package 3 so you can save the $10.00 per month for the next 60 days? You will just have to remember to change your package before the 60 days is up. This is now done. You are given access to package 12 for 60 days and we put your account back on package 3 for now. But you still have access to package 12 for 60 days.

The option to evaluate Package 12 is on the Main Control Panel for your account on our website. You can get to this page by selecting "Help >> Account Control Panel" within your Sierra Chart software. The direct link is here: https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php#MainControlPanel On that page, near the middle, where all the information for your account is located, is an entry for "Current Service Package:". To the right of this, you will see your package selection and then a link that states "Evaluate Highest Available Service Package". Select that link and then follow the instructions from there. Note that this is an "Evaluation", therefore you do need to have a package active while using this. It is different from how the Trial works. I'm currently on package 10 with an active 12 month subscription. Meanwhile, I was thinking about testing the package 12. I had package 12 for a short period about 2 years ago, I think. As I realized back then that I wasn't getting any advantage from it I went back to package 10. However, currently my trading system has evolved substantially since then and I've been thinking about upgrading again. If the option is showing for your account, then it is available to you at this time. In your case (Rui S), you still have the option available, so you can use it at any time. The evaluation of the highest package requires that you have an active package. It is just an evaluation, it is not like the Free Trial. For example, if you activated the Evaluation for 30 days, but you only had 10 days of Usage Time remaining and you did not have any funds in your account for the renewal of that package. Then after the 10 days have passed, you can no longer use Sierra Chart. It does not matter that you had the evaluation available. The Evaluation requires that you have an active package. For example, if you activated the Evaluation for 30 days, but you only had 10 days of Usage Time remaining and you did not have any funds in your account for the renewal of that package. So, in my case (12 months of package 10 subscribed), if I decide to continue with package 12 after the evaluation period ends, I guess I just have to change from package 10 to package 12 and have enough funds to cover the respective aditional costs. Am I correct? |
