Hello, My daily chart candles begin at 8 AM, even though in the chart settings window, they are set to begin at 9:30. I'm not sure why this is the case. See attached files for an example of the problem and for my chart settings. Thank you! Julien |

What happens if in the Chart settings window, you set the Chart Data Type to "Intraday Chart"? I think the times you specified in the window may be grayed out and not active.

On an Historical Daily chart the bars should be starting at midnight and cover the 24 hour period. From your images, we do not see how you determine a start of 08:00 for the bars. Are you using the Tool Values Window to see the start time of the bars? When I use the Tool Values Window, the start time that is displayed is indeed midnight, but prices before 8 AM are not included in the daily candle. That is the case in the images I sent, which were taken around 8:30 AM. Is the simplest way to view daily candles with only intraday prices to select "Intraday chart" and display daily candles?

How you setup the candles depends on what information you want to see. The Historical Daily candles cover the full 24 hours of trading and the information is sent from the exchange as it is. If you want to see bars that cover a specific time period, then you would need to use Intraday data and specify your Session Times to cover the period you desire. Refer to the following: Chart Session Times: Creating Daily Bars with Custom Session Times There is also other information on Historical Daily Bars on that same page that could be useful.
