Hello,
I was checking the support board to try to find some info that would help me with some issues I've been experiencing for the past two weeks (approximately), but so far nothing has worked.
First, I can't upload daily charts, every time I try to do so I only get one large candle on the left side of my screen and nothing else.
Second, all intraday charts appear with a gap corresponding to the time I was not connected, and when I perform a futures symbol rollover I don't get a continuous contract showing, instead, all I get are a few intraday candles that correspond to the number of hours for the most recent trading day.

We apologize for the delay.

To solve the problem you need to use the Denali exchange data feed for data:

Denali Exchange Data Feed

This will provide the historical daily data, and historical intraday data, and also the real-time data. All of this will work very well with Sierra Chart and is the proper data feed for Sierra Chart.

This is absolutely essential because you need to use this data feed also for the continuous futures contract data. Rithmic will not provide sufficient data for the charting needs of Sierra Chart.

Let us know if you need help with this set up.

Yes, I need help setting it up because I'm not very savvy when it comes to these things. However, before we do, I have a couple of questions about it: After installing the Denali Exchange Data feed I would no longer need Rithmic, right?
How much does the Denali Exchange data feed cost monthly?
When installing it does the Rithmic data feed cease to work automatically or do I need to let my broker know?

Thank you.

After installing the Denali Exchange Data feed I would no longer need Rithmic, right?

You would no longer need the Rithmic data. You would still be using Rithmic for your trading.

How much does the Denali Exchange data feed cost monthly?

There are too many variables for us to answer without knowing more about what exchanges you need an how you want to pay. In general, the data feed fee is $10.00 per month and is part of Packages 10, 11, and 12, but you can reduce that amount if you buy multiple months up front.

The other variable is the exchanges that you want.

You will find the pricing information on this page:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

When installing it does the Rithmic data feed cease to work automatically or do I need to let my broker know?

The Sierra Chart software knows to use the data from Sierra Chart first, but you would need to let your broker know that you are no longer wanting the Rithmic data and you do not want to pay for it any further.

When you are ready, you will follow these instructions to setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group data. If you need EUREX or CFE data, then those instructions are on the same page (scroll up to the top to find the links to the specific sections in the page).

I'm a bit confused by John's remarks when he wrote,"You would no longer need the Rithmic data. You would still be using Rithmic for your trading."
Then, when he answers my other question, "The Sierra Chart software knows how to use the data from Sierra Chart first, but you would need to let your broker know that you are no longer wanting the Rithmic data and you do not want to pay for it any further."
So, do I need to maintain Rithmic alongside The Denali Exchange Data feed and pay for both data providers in order to trade or, after instaling The Denali Exchange Data feed, can I just let my broker know that I no longer want Rithmic and to uninstall it from my services?

Thank you.

Rithmic is both an Order Routing service and a Data Provider. You will still be using Rithmic as your Order Routing service. That will not change. This means that your setting in File >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service will not change, it will stay as Rithmic as it is now.

What does change is where your data will come from. Once you have the Denali Exchange Data Feed setup, you will get your data from us, therefore, you will no longer need to get the data from Rithmic. Therefore, you will need to tell your broker that you no longer want the data from Rithmic.

Again, just to be clear, you will continue to use Rithmic for your trading, so you are not telling your broker to get rid of Rithmic completely, you are just telling them to turn off the data feed from Rithmic.
