I have my session times at 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 and "new bar at session start" checked. I was told to do this so my tick charts will match others better. But with this setting, when I use the OHLC study, the close is marked at 23:59:59. Is there a way to have the close marked at a specific time like 16:00?

the close is marked at 23:59:59.
How is this done? Is this a study doing this or what?

I am attempting to use the OHLC study. It is marking the open and closes based on the chart settings' start time - end time. I need the close to be 16:00 while keeping the chart settings on a 24hr open/close.

Use the Period OHLC - Variable Period study instead. Refer to the information here:
Previous/Period OHLC-Variable Period

Ahhhh... okay. No wonder I couldn't find it. Perhaps renaming it to OHLC - Variable Period will help others find it in the future.

In the meantime, I figured a workaround using "Daily OHLC". I opened a daily chart of my particular product and then changed the "Daily Chart Number" input to the newly opened daily chart number. It seems to have met my needs. Are there any advantages of using the Period OHLC study instead? I overlayed the Variable study over the Daily OHLC and they seem to be within a couple tks of each other. Any idea why the discrepancy?

This study also uses the chart Session Times:
Previous/Period OHLC-Variable Period

For the solution for what you want, refer to:

This is a chargeable support analysis and we do not have time for it anyway.
