Does Sierra Charts populate the datetime field in the .scid file with what it receives from my data service (Interactive Brokers)? Or, does Sierra Charts populate the datetime field in this file with its own value upon receipt of trade data from my data service? Please note, I do have the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit in Global Settings >>Data/Trade Service Settings set to a value of 1 Second. And, I understand that the received data is aligned on time boundaries which are multiples of the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit. |

In the case of interactive brokers trade time stamping another time stamping is done using the local computer clock because interactive brokers does not provide timestamps. If you want true time stamping use the Sierra Chart data feeds: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
