Hello, I'm daytrading on ES and CL, but to get historical data on chart for 100-150 days, I use the continuous contract feature - and this causes weird issues forming the bars and areas for supply / demand trading. I assume, the continuous contract is back adjusted data, so when I look back 100 days or more, there are areas that look different than at a non-continuous contract / non-back adjusted chart. I'm using volume and minute based charts How can I get like 100-200 days on the chart without using continuous contract on a 10000 volume chart or 60 minute chart? Specially the CL futures looks totally different in this case. For example: Ninjatrader (unfortunately I have to use NT, too, because some of the tools we use only available on NT) has three options, when it comes to data merge policy: do not merge, merge but do not backadjust or merge and back adjust. So I look back the charts on NT for 100-150 days, I can adjust the chart according to those three options. Over at Sierra, when I want to see 100-150 days on the chart, I have to use contimuos contract and I cant find any more adjustment according to data merge or adjustment. Thank you, Zolie |

Do not use one of the back adjusted continuous futures contract options.
