All the grid lines in all my charts have been changed to some new default format in 1807. Will not be manually amending as way too much time, rolled back to 1803.

We will not be making any changes to this. We are using the standard operating system pen creation function and the standard Dot style. We are not totally sure of the reason for the difference, but once again this is final. The way the operating system is rendering it, is how it is doing it. And we think the way it is currently implemented is going to deliver higher performance than the previous method. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. There is a problem you need to review please. The Chart Grid when selected to Dot appears as Small Dashes (not Dots) on all my charts. The Dash selection works normally.

If that creates a performance issue we are definitively not going to change this back. And we really do not know why there is a change to begin with. That is not clear to us. And ultimately what you see is rendered by the operating system. So basically a dot appears as it is because that is my how Microsoft has decided it will appear.

1803 works fine (so nothing to do with my system). If I upgrade to 1807, you have fundamentally changed how "dots" appear on the chart grid (and I now see the same for dots on extension lines) - nothing has changed at my end. It needs a fix please.

I concur, there is a problem. In the global and individual chart settings the setting shows "dot". But in the upgrade they appear as "dash". It also seems the size is different that the global/chart settings. If you are saying that these have to be dashes...the settings should reflect it, I believe. I rolled back also. In fact, changes to the width and style have no effect at all in global and individual chart settings. Why have the ability to change the settings when they don't work? If this is the new change and nothing will be done, I suggest to grey out the graphic grid settings so users don't think they can change them Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-09-18 16:25:02

You are still failing to miss the point . This is how the Windows operating system is doing it: In the global and individual chart settings the setting shows "dot". But in the upgrade they appear as "dash". If you do not want to believe us we cannot help you. There is a clear difference between dash and dot. We cannot provide any further answers about how Microsoft is doing this and this thread is now locked. Now whether we can implement a workaround to this behavior we will see but it all depends upon whether it would have a detrimental performance impact or not. In fact, changes to the width and style have no effect at all in global and individual chart settings. Why have the ability to change the settings when they don't work? We understand the reason now for the grid line issue. This will be resolved in the next release.
