You are still failing to miss the point . This is how the Windows operating system is doing it:

In the global and individual chart settings the setting shows "dot". But in the upgrade they appear as "dash".

If you do not want to believe us we cannot help you. There is a clear difference between dash and dot. We cannot provide any further answers about how Microsoft is doing this and this thread is now locked.

Now whether we can implement a workaround to this behavior we will see but it all depends upon whether it would have a detrimental performance impact or not.


In fact, changes to the width and style have no effect at all in global and individual chart settings. Why have the ability to change the settings when they don't work?
This is not even true in regards to the grid width. There is no problem with this. But it has long been the case that when the thickness is 2 any Line Style other than solid is not supported for performance reasons.
