| Hello, I am attempting to create an alert using the "Color Background Based on Alert Condition" with intent to use the condition in the "Trading System Based on Alert Condition." I am using the swing points study and price in the alert. The swing points study I am using is located here: Fractals indicator I want to generate an alert, when the price crosses the Swing Low from above (i.e., price breaks the previous Swing Low to the downside). I am using the following formula: CROSSFROMABOVE(C, ID1.SG2) It isn't working. I am seeing Error: #SYNTAX! Does the logic need to be coded in C++? I hope not, because I don't remember much C++ from the only class I had. Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2018-02-16 21:11:25 |

| This is a perfectly valid formula: CROSSFROMABOVE(C, ID1.SG2) Make sure it is just this. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
