I'm sure this must be possible and easy to do, but I haven't been able to get this to work using the Study/Price overlay study.

I want to plot a 50-period EMA value from a daily chart to a 40-range bar intraday chart. I've tried messing with every possible option in the Study/Price overlay study, but it always somehow ends up forcing the daily chart to become a 40-range chart (like the target is). Both charts are in the same chartbook. If it matters, symbol is NQ.

Surely this is possible? It's Sierra.

Attached is an image of the setup you are stating you are wanting. We are not having any issue with the Daily chart changing to a 40 range chart.

The main reason why the Daily chart would change to match the destination chart is if the option for "Full Synchronization of Source Chart to Destination" for the Study/Price Overlay is set to "Yes". Be sure this is set to "No" and let us know if you have an issue from there.

Also, keep in mind how the Inputs for "Data Copy Mode" and "Bar Time Matching Method" will affect where the specific data to overlay shows up in the destination chart.

The information for the Study/Price Overlay study is at the following link:
