Hi! Im trying to display the average for my Zig Zag wave length. For example if there are 4 waves of zigzag ( 5 point, 7 point, 8 point and 4 point ) then the average would be 6 point, this is what Im trying to get haha. Also I would love to know if there is a way to display the standart deviation as well ( similar to how it is in VWAP deviation bands ). For example the average zigzag length would be 10 point using my chart but with the deviation of 2 points to each side like in VWAP, meaning 68% of the time it would fall into the range of 8-12 points. thank you so much!!! |

The easiest way to access the Zig Zag Lengths is to use the "Spreadsheet Study" and in the Zig Zag study set the Input for "Additional Output for Spreadsheets" to "Yes". Then SG4 will show up in the spreadsheet that contains those lengths. You will then have to manipulate the data in the spreadsheet to get what you want. There are two Standard Deviation formulas available in the Spreadsheets. Refer to the following and the one below it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SpreadsheetFunctions.html#STDEV_Function For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
