Good morning SC team,

I've been using the "Limit Price Displayed to N Right Characters" set to 6. I trade NQ and I never had any issue before.

Since the last couple of days though, I am not able to see the full price on the scale when I use the crosshair. The last digit gets cut off and I am unable to see it the last full price (please see the attached file).

I am on 2922 version, and I haven't done any update or anything that could have caused this issue. I just turned on the platform, and I started to see the price this way.

Can you please give me some hint on the issue and what can cause it?

Thanks in advance.

F.

If the intention is to be able to see, the actual price with the Chart Values tool, then there is no solution to this. What it looks like we have to do is we have to limit the Chart Values tool price, to the specified right number of characters.

This is strange because up until some days ago I was able to see the entire price when using the crosshair (in the picture sent 29535.50) without any cutting despite I limited the price display to 6 digits.

Essentially, what I was seeing was the beginning of the price (left side, such as the "29" part using the same picture sent) outside the price scale with the numbers "popping out" a little on the left side.

All of a sudden this is no more.

Is there a setting also related to the chart value other than the one mentioned above that I can use? Or what it is that caused this automatic shift in behaviour?

Thanks,
F.

With a recent release, the Price column can be adjusted in size. Previously, even if you limited the number of characters, the size of the price column was always what was needed to display the entire price. Now the column can be adjusted in size, so it can be changed to only be as wide as what is actually displayed in the column.

It looks like you changed the size of the column a little which is why you are not able to see the entire price showing with the crosshairs. Adjust the column width a bit larger so you can see all of the numbers if this is what you need.

If I did change it was by mistake, so much so that I have no idea where to find it in the settings.

Are you referring to the Global Settings -> Graphic Settings -> Chart Scale? If that is so, then no changes have been made between prior this issue and after, otherwise please let me know which settings I have to check in order to come up with a solution.

Thanks,
F.

In the most recent releases, the price column width can be changed just like any other column. Refer to the following:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart/Trade DOM Column Widths and Headers (Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns)

One thing that you can do is enable the Market Data columns for the Chart DOM:
Trade Menu: Show Market Data Columns (Trade menu)

And in recent versions of Sierra Chart you can then adjust the width of the Price column.:
Global Trade Settings Windows: Chart/Trade DOM Column Widths and Headers (Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns)

You can remove other columns you do not need.
