Hi, the chart position line seems to have vanished today. It was visible during open trades yesterday but not today. Any clues? Thanks.

Are you stating that you inititated a trade, which resulted in an open position, but that position is not showing in your Sierra Chart?

If so, then how was this trade initiated? Was it done from Sierra Chart, or outside of Sierra Chart?

If the trade was initiated on Sierra Chart, then was it done in the same chart you are viewing? If it was on a different chart, is that chart showing the position line?

If you select "Trade >> Trade Positions Window" does an open position show in there?

Exactly.

Trade was initiated from within Sierra Chart and from the same chart I was viewing.

The immediate issue is that you need to manage that trade outside of Sierra Chart for right now. Check with your broker to ensure the status of the trade and manage it with them directly (or through their software, if they have a separate package).

For the Sierra Chart side of things, what is the "Symbol" that is listed in the Trade Positions Window?

qqq with IB. The odd thing is, the position line was visible yesterday but today it isn't showing. The other 2 attached orders are visible though.

For the chart where you are entering the order, what are the following set to (we need the information exactly as it is entered):
- Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol
- Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trade and Current Quote Symbol
- Use as Trade Only Symbol

Ok. Basically this is an IB issue and there isn't much to do about it?

It is an IB issue in that the symbol that they actually report back to Sierra Chart is not necessarily the same symbol you have entered. You need to look at the symbol they are actually using after you enter the trade and make sure it matches what is in the chart.

In other words, you will need to use a symbol that IB will not change.
