Unable to draw Extending Rectangle on DOM after update

Hi, appreciate the new changes to DOM price scales, very welcome additions. One thing I have noticed since update though, not all drawing tools are functioning within the DOMs VBP area as expected. For example: Horizontal Line tool works as expected, however Rectangle / Extending Rectangle refuse to draw. Is this by design? I am using OpenGL for reference. |

We are not really understanding the particular issue. The drawing tools, in general, do not work in the DOM. And we really do not understand what you mean by "not all drawing tools are functioning within the DOMs VBP area as expected." Please give us more specific information on what you are trying to do, or what worked previously, but is not now. So previously you could apply almost all of the drawing tools to the left hand space in the DOM (where the volume by price study draws), a lot of these did not function well, but even the Gann Fan, Price Retracement, and Pitchfork tools would still draw in this region. The tools that did work particularly well for marking up areas on a DOM were: - Extending Rectangle - Horizontal Ray - Horizontal Line - Stationary Text Post update, the only tools that are capable of drawing in this area are: - Horizontal Line - Stationary Text To replicate this in version 2867 for example: * Make Sierra full screen Open Trading DOM for whatever Symbol * Window > Attach Chart Window Tools > Extending Rectangle Left Click in area to left of DOM Buy Column Move Mouse lower/higher and Left Click again Result: Extending Rectangle Drawn *: optional steps that make it easier to see the large region you can draw in Following this same process in 2913 results in nothing being drawn after selecting the Extending Rectangle tool. Extending Rectangle in particular was one I used every day to markup areas of interest and one I would like to see added back in as it is more useful to me than Horizontal Line. Does this explain the issue in enough detail? |
