I am trying to show two date related features on a chart.

First I would the date boxes to reflect the date of each Friday and second, I would like the vertical lines on the chart to reflect the time of the Sunday 6PM EST Globex open.

The only setting that is related to this is the following, but we do not know if you have an Intraday Chart or an Historical Daily chart, so this may or may not apply to your situation:
Chart Settings: Intraday Chart Time Scale Increment (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Scale menu)

I would like the vertical lines on the chart to reflect the time of the Sunday 6PM EST Globex open.

For the Vertical Grid, the following are the only options, so you can not use this for what you want:
Chart Settings: Show Vertical Grid (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid >> Show Vertical Grid menu)

To get a vertical line at the Sunday 6PM open, you should use the "Time Line" study. Refer to the following:

You need to reduce the font size for the timescale by reducing the Chart text font size:
Graphics Settings: Fonts

And then increase the chart bar spacing:

Here is the information for the vertical grid:
Chart Settings: Show Vertical Grid (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Grid >> Show Vertical Grid menu)
