What periodicity setting in the charts setting page should be used if i want true tick data written to the Write Bar and Study Data?

How often does the write to the bar and study data to the file update??? Can this be controlled how frequently it updates???

ok so i have a chart that is now set to the tick data as per your instrution along wiht the update interval setting and the txt file from write bar and study data to file is not updating..please see image

You have the Chart Update Interval set to 0. Set it to the time interval that you want to have the file updated. The screenshot you provided, does not tell us at all, whether the file is updating or not. That would be something that you would never be able to show in a screenshot. sorry for any confusion here....so here is a picture showing the chart updating, the study with path and a file name, the data file with a MESM6 Bar.txt file which shows date modified as 5/14/2026 @ 8:50 pm, a notepad showing 1 minute data ...the chart shows 1 trade in the tool bar...and finally the update interval setting...

From our perspective and position we do not know what the issue is. We cannot troubleshoot this. The other thing is you did not scroll to the bottom of that text file. So what you are showing us does not mean much of anything. And it is not something that is really within the scope of our support to help with something like this. No definitely not. Unless the system is running out of memory in which case the chart goes blank: also is there a maximum amount of days tick data can be written to the study?
