Hi, I'm using OHLC Variable period to plot dash line of specific time candle open. Is there way to keep these lines to "until future intersection"? Or is there better study for this? Thanks you Tom |

Thanks you, it looks like "until future intersection" function is waiting for another OHLC "Time Period Length" has began and than it is crossed. What I need is line to be extended until any bar cross it. For example: I want at every 15min range, on 15sec chart plot line of first bar open, and extend it until any another bar cross it. Is it possible? Thanks you |

The instructions given at the link we gave are specifically to do what you want - where a bar is crossing. Note the first step for "Based On". Did you change "Based On" to the OHLC study? We need to see the entire settings window for the "Color Bar Based On Alert Condition". Not just the Inputs section. Please get us another image that shows the whole window.

You have the "Based On" set to the "Period OHLC", which is why you are getting what you are. This is how I had it set up initially. I've made another screen shot with this settings (and with chart) - it is still waiting for another OHLC "Time Period Length" has began and it is crossed... Am I doing something else wrong? Thanks you |

You are kind of correct in your conclusion, but not exactly. The issue is that the "Extension Lines" are starting from the end of where the "Period OHLC" is drawing the line. So if that "Period OHLC" line goes across those bars, then the extension line is not going to take those into account - it is only going to stop when it comes across a bar beyond that time period. What exactly are you wanting to accomplish with this? What is the base information you are looking for that you want to "extend until future intersection"? Are you just wanting the "Opens" for every 15 minutes? or do you really want the entire OHLC information every 15 minutes? Or something else? I see, thanks you for explanation. I just want open for every 15min (and 1h, 4h) extended until future intersection (to keep OHLC information for 15 minutes is not needed). |
