I am using Sierra Chart with Package 5 and the Denali delayed data feed for backtesting purposes. I need to access the expired Euro FX futures contracts from 2025 (6EH25-CME, 6EM25-CME, 6EU25-CME and 6EZ25-CME) to run intraday backtests on M1 charts using Chart Replay. These contracts do not appear in the Find Symbol list, and I am unable to type them manually in the symbol field. Could you please let me know if these expired contracts are included in my current package, and if so, how I can access them? Thank you very much for your help. Best regards |

These contracts do not appear in the Find Symbol list, and I am unable to type them manually in the symbol field.
They will not be shown in the list, but you should be able to type them into the "Selected Symbol" field on the Find Symbol window. Why do you state that you can not type the symbol into the "Selected Symbol" field? What happens when you try to do this? Yes, I can manually type and load the symbols correctly, so that part is working fine on my side. However, the main issue remains with Chart Replay, which is still disabled or non-functional on expired contracts even after re-downloading historical data. Could you please clarify which contracts or continuous symbols I should use in order to have full Chart Replay functionality for the entire 2025 historical period? I need to ensure I am selecting the correct instruments that support replay properly with delayed Denali data and Package 5. Also, just to confirm, I am able to search and access symbols normally, so the issue is specifically related to replay availability on expired contracts. Thank you very much for your help. |

There should not be an issue running a replay for any particular symbol. The only thing to "watch out for" is if you are using the "Start from Date-Time" to ensure it is set properly for the particular dates that the symbol was traded. If you want to get data for an entire year, then you would have to use a Continuous Futures Contract chart. Refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts You can then limit the display of the data in the chart to specific times using the "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Date Range From/To". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Load Data Limiting Method: Date Range >> Date Range From / To (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Data Limiting >> Load Data Limiting Method: Date Range menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
