Hey Sierra Team,

Before starting my journey with this great product, I use my free trial to get used to the software. But after hours trying, I gave up.

My goal: Entering a trade by pointing to a price point on the chart. Important: My Attached Orders should be sent too.

I therefore use "Buy Send Attached Orders at Current Pointer Price". I followed both instructions (I believe "Chart Trade Mode On" and "Trading keyboard Shortcuts Enabled")

You would now expect to see 3 lines that represent your Entry Order, TP and SL. But the reality is none of them appear. Only a bar with "+1@4621.35 | P/L: 1.70" appears; the trade is opened and running. This is on a fresh installation. But a previous installation showed indeed 2 to 3 lines. However, they did not correspond to my actual Attached Orders.

Also, hitting manual "BE" just for testing purposes never worked for me. The trade still went in the minus every time.

So there is a clear disconnect. I also confirm that "Use Attached Orders" is always checked. And that both the chart and the Trading DOM have the same symbol opened.

Your help is appreciated. Such a great tool.

Best Regards,

Niemenser

"Buy Send Attached Orders at Current Pointer Price" is not the correct option to use. That specifically will send the Attached Orders, it will not open a position at the price you are pointing to. Refer to the following for information on the order type of "Send Attached Orders":
Order Types: Send Attached Orders - Position/Price

If you want to use your pointer to enter a trade, then right-click and select "Buy Market". If the option for "Buy Market" is not showing in your right-click options for trading, then add it to the "Customize Chart Trade Menu". Refer to the following:
Global Settings Menu: Customize Chart Trade Menu (Global Settings menu)

Depending on what you are doing, you may be wanting to use "Buy Limit" or "Buy Stop Limit". This is something you need to figure out for your trading purposes.

As long as you have the option for "Use Attached Orders" enabled, then you will get an open position at the current market price (or a Limit Order at the pointed to price) along with the attached orders as they are setup in the Trade Window.
