Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with my chart where candles are not displaying correctly whenever I wanna go back in time and see historical data. Instead of normal candlesticks, I’m seeing fragmented red and green blocks that don’t form proper candles. The attached charts are from February and as I've been trading during that time, they didn't looked like that in real time, it was all normal. So for example, today I have a normal chart in front of me, but in May if I wanna come back to see today's data 31/03/2026, the chart might look messy like the one in the screenshots? Please help. Thanks |

We assume these are charts for a Futures symbol. Futures have a limited life span, which is why there is a rollover to the new contract. Therefore, if you go back in time, you will the area where there was less trading for that particular contract. If you want to connect together the contracts to view it as a single symbol, then refer to the following: Continuous Futures Contract Charts For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Makes sense now. Thank you. Apologies, forgot to mention I was trading MES. I have chosen Continuous Futures Contract - Date Rule Rollover, Back Adjusted and all works perfectly now. Thanks a lot, John! |
