Hello, I am using Sierra Chart Package 3 (Base Standard) with the SC Data feed for end of day historical chart study. I do not need real-time or intraday data. I am trying to access cash index data for the following markets: Nasdaq Composite or Nasdaq 100 index DAX index Nikkei 225 index VIX I can successfully access $INX (S&P 500 cash index) on my current package. However I cannot find symbols for the other indexes listed above. My questions are: Are these cash indexes available through SC Data on Package 3 for EOD historical study? If not, is there a way to access them without paying real-time exchange fees since I only need EOD historical data? What are the correct symbols for these indexes if they are available? Thank you |

NASDAQ indexes are no longer available. NASDAQ requires payment for this data even for end of day data. For the DAX the symbol is: $DAX (But we see there is an error getting this data. We are contacting our data provider about this.) For the Nikkei the symbol is: $NKY (But we see there is an error getting this data. We are contacting our data provider about this.) For VIX_CGI, you need to pay for the CBOE Indices exchange in order to get the data. There is not a way to get the EOD data for the CBOE Global Indices (which includes the VIX Volatility Index) at no cost. You have to pay for the exchange in order to get any data at all from them.
