I have two independent installations of Sierra chart installed on my PC due to needing to connect to two brokers at the same time. I have been running like this for quite some time, nothing new. Lately my main installation of Sierra Chart after working for a while will stop updating price on charts, then appear to be unresponsive, then my PC will restart itself automatically due to Sierra basically freezing. This is what appears is happening in Windows Even Viewer. I have withnessed this data freezing happen in my main first install, all while the second install is working perfectly and communication to the broker and getting all data. Windows is up to date, all PC manufacturer updates up to date, Nvidia Grpahics card on the latest driver, Sierra on 2887 version, up to date. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here. I was in a trade yesterday when this happened, PC rebooted in the middle of a trade. Luckily a small manageable loss, however this is not good. I need to get to the bottom of what is causing this a sort it out. Thanks and appreicate any help.

This is an unstable system if this is happening. How much memory does the computer have? Check for any abnormal memory use in the Windows task manager.

The PC has 32 GB of RAM and a 12 GB Video Card. Task Manager shows nothing out of the order to me. Instance 1 of Sierra is using 1240 MB of memory and the second one is using 194.6 MB of memory.

Before I understood that Sierra Chart does not require an NVIDIA graphics card, I had many problems with my PC. I switched to the integrated graphics on the motherboard (using a $300 refurbished Windows 10 PC from Amazon), and Sierra Chart has been performing very well. Over the past three years, I have had no crashes with Sierra. However, I cannot say the same for some of the other very popular charting and trading software.

God bless the Sierra Chart developers, may they be kept in good health.
