Hi, I am running Sierra Chart connected to CQG WebAPI (live). The DTC Protocol Server is enabled with JSON Compact encoding. Please note, I am connecting from an external Python client via DTC. When connecting to: Trading Port (11099) – connection remains stable Historical Data Port (11098) – connection is closed after sending a Market Data Snapshot request (Type 101) Questions: Is a SecurityDefinitionForSymbolRequest required before sending a Market Data Snapshot when using JSON Compact? Is real-time market data via DTC supported when Sierra is connected to CQG WebAPI? Is there a required message sequence for market data requests on port 11098 from an external client? Thank you! |

Data is not available through DTC at all regardless of the service that is connected. The exchanges simply do not allow this, so it had to be made unavailable for DTC. Refer to the following: Data and Trading Communications (DTC) Protocol Server: Restrictions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
