My PC CMOS battery was failing. With it, Sierra Chart started failing to save my Chartbooks correctly. So currently I have to make changes after start up. I replaced the CMOS battery and the PC went back to normal, but SC still saves incorrectly. Guidance please. Thanks.

What does this mean:
Sierra Chart started failing to save my Chartbooks correctly
How do you know this.

The mainboard battery, is irrelevant to this, because that is only used to maintain BIOS settings and the real-time clock when a computer is off.

It has no effect of the functioning of the operating system or software. Other than if maybe the clock is wrong but that's not going to affect the saving of a Chartbook.

I don't know this. I just noticed that the battery was failing concurrent with the Save issue. I almost always do a Save All, independent of closing, and then exit the program, choosing save all again. When I open the program, it now puts the wrong charts on top. It also puts my spreadsheet charts on top. As well, once the charts are correct, 2 side by side, expand and return doesn't work. When I hover the mouse over the expand icon, it changes to a cross hair but will expand. But then the 3 icons for the individual chart are no longer there. So I can't reduce the expanded chart back to its place.

What you are seeing are all changes in the latest release for the MDI child windows, which are the chart/spreadsheet windows that are within the main Sierra Chart application (not "detached" charts).

The order in which the charts will come up is controlled by the order the charts are in the "Chartbooks and Windows" window (same as the CW menu, but you can change the order in the Chartbooks and Windows).

In terms of the Minimize/Restore/Close options, those have been replaced with items on the Menu bar to the right of the "Help" menu item. They will show as "Min", "Res", and "Cls" by default and they are preceeded by a "|" character. These names and the separator can be changed - refer to the settings at the following link and the 3 below it:
General Settings Window: MDI Container Window Child Window Menu Text Separator (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings)

We also recommend looking through the rest of the settings in that section for MDI windows and seeing how you might want to setup other items.
