After installing Sierra Chart release 55540, I have a question about the correct way to restore or minimize chart windows within a chartbook. All charts are attached to the chartbook. I can maximize a chart window without issues. When I try to restore or minimize the chart, a small chart window remains visible on the screen. I am unable to restore the chart so that it fully disappears back into the chartbook tab bar at the bottom. I am wondering if this is expected behavior or if I am missing a specific setting or workflow. Before this release, I was able to restore charts so they fully returned to the tab area. Question: Is there a specific setting or recommended method to restore or minimize a chart window so it fully returns to the chartbook tabs? If helpful, I can provide screenshots or chartbook settings. Thank you. |

First make sure you are running version 2874. The minimized state for MDI child windows was not being restored, when opening a Chartbook. Update instructions: Software Download: Fast Update To solve this: I am unable to restore the chart so that it fully disappears back into the chartbook tab bar at the bottom.
Update Sierra Chart as explained above. And set this setting, to Minimize To Bottom: General Settings Window: MDI Child Window Minimize Method (List) (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Multiple Document Interface (MDI) and Custom Title Bar Settings) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
