Why did this happen and how do I fix this chart. The OHLC for the first minute of today's trading session is 6813.50, 6820.25, 6813.50, 6818.25. Yet this Renko chart has the open at 6856.50 All other charts as far as I can see are correct. This is a Renko 2T chart for the ES. ESZ25. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-12-01 19:25:06

Do you have this setting set to other than None: Chart Settings: Gap Fill (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Intraday Chart Bar Period Settings) And make sure this is set to Yes: Chart Settings: New Bar at Session Start (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Intraday Chart Session Times menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. First question... Already set to None. Second setting. IChanged and it worked. BTW this was an Aligned Renko Chart not Renko (the Renko chart setting was okay). Also this never seemed to occur before. It seems with the shortened previous session it did not recognize a new session, which is seems it should have. Also I checked all my other Aligned Renko charts with different symbols and the are all correct. That is strange since when I created all my charts and chartbooks they were duplicated from one. Anyway all is good. I wanted to confirm I can set this setting in the global settings so that it sets correctly on new chart creation. Thank you. |
