Hi All, First day on SC. I am trying to trade my Interactive Brokers account from SC. I have Pack 11, Denali Feed US & Total View. Setup as per the guide. Interactive Brokers Trading Service I am on TWS Desktop trying to Trade SPY. The symbol i want to use in SC is SPY_MBO. When i try to trade SPY_MBO i get this message: 2025-12-01 12:05:14.802 | Symbol Error | (unknown symbol with ID 2612) is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. No security definition has been found for the request 2025-12-01 12:06:23.704 | Trading server did not acknowledge new order | Symbol: SPY_MBO | TradeAccount: DUxx | InternalOrderID: 6474 | ServiceOrderID: 2614 | Current Status: Order Sent * If i switch the chart in SC to SPY, i get this error. 2025-12-01 12:06:40.417 | Symbol Error | (unknown symbol with ID 2629) is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. The contract description specified for SPY is ambiguous; you must specify the currency. 2025-12-01 12:06:56.662 | Trading server did not acknowledge new order | Symbol: SPY | TradeAccount: DUxx | InternalOrderID: 6489 | ServiceOrderID: 2629 | Current Status: Order Sent * Please help with how to map SPY_MBO to SPY in TWS. I suspect i have missed a step somewhere. Thanks in advance. |

You need to keep your main symbol entry what is needed for Sierra Chart (i.e. SPY_MBO) and enter a "Trade And Current Quote Symbol" in order to have the proper symbol for Interactive Brokers. You will also want to set the option for "Use as Trade Only Symbol" to "Yes" in this case. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) The symbol you need to use for Interactive Brokers will be like what is defined at the following, but you need to check with Interactive Brokers to make sure you have exactly what you need/want: Interactive Brokers Symbols: Stock Format You can setup your Symbol Settings such that when you open a chart for an _MBO symbol you will get the correct "Trade and Current Quote Symbol" entered. To do this, you need to edit the symbol settings for "?_MBO", "??_MBO", "???_MBO", "????_MBO", and "?????_MBO" (these represent equity symbols of 1 to 5 characters). Then enter what you need for the "Trade/Quote Symbol" using the '?'s for the symbol. Refer to the following: Global Symbol Settings: Instructions For example, for the symbol "?_MBO", you would enter the "Trade/Quote Symbol" of "?-STK-SMART-USD" (or whatever format you need to use).
