Just curious, Is it possible for Sierra Chart to run at a low latency < 100ms? If so, how? If someone decided to co-locate inside CME Aurora and pay the >$20,000/month for the co-location, could SC actually run below 100ms? Thanks for your time. Look forward to your response. |

Sierra Chart allows the "Chart Update Interval" to be as low as 10 milliseconds. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Chart Update Interval in Milliseconds (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Update Interval menu) There is only 1 special setting that should be used if you were to be co-located and that is the following: Sierra Chart Server Settings: Use Internal LAN IP for CME Data and Order Routing (Global Settings >> Sierra Chart Server Settings >> General >> Special) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

... @ User922418 ... I live 2 miles from Aurora Center Latency you are talking about is what you getting with going "direct" to Aurora Center (physical distance measured in meters and latency in micro sec) Your internet is the most important to you (in my case 2.2G/25Mb; ping=8ms; jitter=1ms) "Chart Update Interval" is another jewel from SIERRA CHART and it has no connection what you were asking It works miracles and my is set to 50ms Btw I live in Naperville Wish you good trading |
