Live CME data unaccessible without a live funded brokerage account ?

Hello, is it possible to access live CME data with interactive broker knowing they allow 0$ deposit ? will still qualify as a non professional for the CME DATA feed with an account that has a 0$ or maybe something as low as 10 $ balance ? thanks ! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-06 19:29:28

We do not know the answer to this question. In order to verify your non-professional standing, you need to connect your Sierra Chart software to your live, funded, futures trading account, for which an Interactive Brokers account qualifies. When the connection is made it is up to the brokerage for how they report your account as either being valid or not. We do not know what criteria Interactive Brokers uses for this, so we do not know if there is a minimum deposit amount. Although, we have never heard of anyone being able to get by with a $0.00 account. Most likely someone would have posted had this been possible. But we do recommend trying if you have the time and ability to do so. Keep in mind that in order to connect to data and trading services you need to be on one of the paid Integrated packages. Thanks for the answer, The package 5 is limited to delayed data and won't give access to Live data even if connected through Rithmic or Interactive brokers right ? Only Packages 10 and above allow the access to CME/CBOT live data ? Also on the "Easy Solution To CME Funded Trading Account Requirement" page refering to the Teton routing service, it says on the bottom that : "This solution is also recommended when you want to use the Sierra Chart Simulated Futures Trading Service with real-time data and you do not yet have a funded futures trading account." Does this mean i can get real-time simulated futures data without a funded account with this method ? |

Correct, you need to be on one of the "Integrated" packages in order to connect to data and trading services including our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Also on the "Easy Solution To CME Funded Trading Account Requirement" page refering to the Teton routing service, it says on the bottom that :
"This solution is also recommended when you want to use the Sierra Chart Simulated Futures Trading Service with real-time data and you do not yet have a funded futures trading account." Does this mean i can get real-time simulated futures data without a funded account with this method ? No, it is stating that if you want real-time data to use with our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" and for no other purpose, then you can open an account with one of the suggested brokers to qualify for the non-professional exchange fees.
