SC,

I began having an issue with a chart this afternoon and I cannot figure it out.

I've been working with a fairly bland, 10-tick Renko chart while using a custom indictor for testing. This is a Futures Chart (NQ/MNQ), a Continuous Futures Contract, Date Rule Rollover, Back Adjusted. I wanted to test specific periods, monthly periods for instance, so I began setting the Chart>Chart Settings>Data Limiting to "Use Date Range" and entering dates in the Date Range section below that.

I'm not going back far. I began running into problems when I tried to load 2025-08-01 to 2025-08-31.

For testing, I have a bit of a quirky time frame. My Intraday Session Time is normal and set from 09:30:00 to 15:59:59. My Evening Session is set with a Start Time of 09:15:00 and an End Time of 09:29:29.

The problem appears on the last day, 2025-08-29 after what you would expect to be the last bars of the session, around 16:00. I see choppy, broken bars that begin with a time stamp of 09:24:08, and somewhat similar prices as the start of the day (8/29), and the 2025-08-29 date on them. It's very strange.

I assumed I had a corrupt chart/chartbook so I created a new CB and a new chart from scratch. Same issue. If I switch from Use Date Range to Use Number of Days to Load, the problem goes away.
I then went to my standard instance of SC, on my normal daily chart and tried to switch that to "Use Date Range" and the same problem appeared.

Am I missing something?

I'm attaching the new CB I created.

Thanks for the help.

I followed those steps, and it did seem to correct the issue. The issue only seemd to be related to this most recent roll.

However, I'm now noticing that dates I have excluded from the symbol are still showing on my chart. Namely 2025-07-04 and 2025-09-01 on my NQ chart.

I have an extensive list of exclusions in the Symbol setting for the NQ, but I'm assuming there's no limit issue. This has not been an issue in the past. The format is 2025-07-04,2025-09-01.....

I do also have the MNQZ25 listed in the Trade and Current Quote Symbol box. So, just to be sure, I entered all the date exclusions in the MNQ as well, and restarted SC. No change.

I can do that if you still need me to, but I was able to locate the issue (I assumed you'd have found it before I did).

The instructions you asked me to follow included a step that instructed me to go to Global Settings>>Symbol Settings>>Use Custom Symbol Settings Values and uncheck the box. When I go back in and reselect the checkbox I get my exclusions back. So obviously that feature allows us to utilize the holiday exclusion.

Again, if you still need the chart please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian
