Hi, I am trying to use volume profile with TSLA stock. I've been trying to get Sierra to match my tradingview chart for a weekly volume profile with TSLA but they aren't matching at all (not even close) and I discovered that for some reason whenever I change the tick per bar size it's moving around all of my Value area high and low lines as well as the point of control. Is there a way to change the volume per row instead of tick so that I can get the true value area levels and point of control? I am using a 15m chart with weekly volume profile. Thank you! |

The Value Area and Point of Control will change as you change the "Ticks per Volume Bar". This is simply due to the nature of what changing that value does, which is to aggregate multiple price points together. There is nothing wrong with it, it is giving the correct information for what you are asking the system to do. Given what we state above, there is no "true value area levels and point of control". There is the information for what you have asked to be calculated. If you believe that what you require is the information for every tick, then you would need to leave the "Ticks per Volume Bar" set to "1".
