Number of Instance Question

Currently, I run a single instance of Sierra Chart. I use CQG for routing, because that's required for the Robbins Cup competition and their Leader-Follower technology. I don't want to tamper with this setup.

I am looking to switch from a competitor's platform to Sierra Chart, because the performance is just awful (e.g., it loses track of open positions).

I need to install two additional instances of SC-- one for my home computer and one for my traveling laptop. Instances will never be connected simultaneously. When I'm at home, I'll trade from the home instance. When on the road, I'll trade from the traveling instance.

Question: Do I need to pay for two additional instances or only one since both will never be connected at the same time?

Since both will never be connected at the same time, you do not need to do anything special. The package and data as you have it now will be fine.

Even if you do use them simultaneously, the only item that would need to be adjusted would be to pay a second set of exchange fees. Refer to the following:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed on Two Computers Simultaneously

Just so you are aware, all of the Sierra Chart information is stored on your local computer. So if you want to use your laptop where you left off with your desktop, you would want to transfer the Chartbook files between the systems. There are other files as well that you should copy over at least once to have the same setup and settings. Refer to the information at the following link which is about transferring files to a new installation, but the information applies in this case:
Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation: Transferring Sierra Chart Settings and Data From Existing Installation to New Installation
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
