Start Replay From a certain point in the chart

I remember there was an option to add a chart shortcut menu (Global Settings > Customize Chart Shortcut Menu) that would start chart replay from a certain point/bar (pointed to by the mouse pointer). I cannot find that setting anymore (I'm on the latest version). Anyone remember where that is or if it has been removed for some reason? |

There is no support for a shortcut option that will start the replay at the bar pointed to, nor has there been. There is support for starting a replay, in general, that you can add to the shortcut menu. But this will start the replay based on the scroll location of the chart (or using the "Start from Date-Time" if selected on the Replay Window). It does not start from where the pointer is located. Thanks John Yes, I found it, it was "Start Replay from Date-Time", that's the one, and I think you're right I meant based on scroll location. I added it. How does it work? how to make it start from the scroll location? When I try it out the start date/time is set as the first bar loaded on the chart and not the current scroll location. |

There is no shortcut option explicitly for "Start Replay from Date-Time". There is just the option for "Play/Pause". If you add "Play/Pause" to the right-click option, then scroll the chart back to where you want to start from and select "Play/Pause" the replay will start based on how the Replay Control window was last configured. Given the above, this means that if you have the option for "Start from Date-Time" enabled on the Replay Control window and a set Date-Time, then the replay will start from that Date and Time. Conversely, if the option is NOT enabled, then the replay will start from the last bar visible in the chart at the time the option is selected. I see the option "Start Replay from Date-Time" (screenshot attached), that doesn't start it from a specific bar/location on the chart? I'm just looking for anyway to start replay from a point in the chart and not have to put the date/time manually, is there any possibility to do that in any way? |

Our apologies. We did not know that option existed, and since it is in the wrong location, we were not looking for it where it is in the list (we were looking under the "Replay" section). So this option does do what you want. If you add it to the shortcut menu, then if you right-click on a bar and select it, the replay will start from that bar. Keep in mind that the replay will still be done using the last settings saved in the Replay Control window.
