Data Limiting not working

Hello,

My 1 min chart does not respect the Data Limiting 'use number of days to load' setting. I have set the 'load data limiting method (list) to 'use number of days to load' and 'days to load for intraday chart data type' to 20 days, however whenever I change the stock symbol it keeps loading about 6 months of data on a 1 min chart.

I have also tried to 'reload and recalculate' on the chart while it is downloading 6 months of data, but still does not change anything.

The amount of data that is initially loaded for a new symbol (one for which data does not already exist) is controlled by the following settings:
Data/Trade Service Settings: Maximum Historical Intraday Days to Download (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings)

Most likely you have this set to 186, which is the default, which is why you are getting 186 days of data initially loaded. Once the chart is done loading the data, then you can select "Chart >> Reload and Recalculate" which will then respect the number of days you have set to load in the Chart Settings.

If you only want 20 days of data loaded initially, then change the settings given above to 20. This will then mean that if you want more data loaded for a chart, you will have to wait for the historical data to download. Therefore, this can be a tradeoff, depending on how often you need more data.
